Funds boost for
e-know.net
A West Midlands IT
company yesterday won a £1.2 million boost from venture capitalist
company 3i.
Telford-based
application service provider e-know.net, which supplies software
services to the manufacturing and logistics markets, says the 3i
investment will enable it to further develop its business.
The company’s
Internet-related products enable its customers to manage their supply
chain and delivery channels more effectively in global markets.
Chief executive
David Redwood said: “This forward thinking decision from 3i really
does support all of our staff, customers and partners, in that it gives
us the confidence that we are taking the right decisions needed to
create a really strong company even during very turbulent times for the
industry as a whole.”
3i made an initial
investment of £2 million when e-know.net began business around 18
months ago.
Mr Redwood added:
“As an ASP we have devoted the last eighteen months to building a
genuine environment that can be utilized by the full spectrum of
industry, from small stand-alone private companies to large
multi-national concerns.
“We have
developed a technical infrastructure that provides high security levels
for all of our users, whilst enabling them to access their data on a 24
hours per day basis, seven day per week basis.”
